Two-Tone Ice Cream Truffle: The Gourmet Dessert with TooA Milano Pro

Thanks to TOOA's "espresso" technology, today we transform two simple bricks (Chocolate and Vanilla) into a masterpiece of Calabrian cold pastry, ready to serve to your guests.

The Ingredients

  • 1 TooA Brick Chocolate Flavor

  • 1 TooA Brick Vanilla Flavor.

  • For the heart: A spoonful of hazelnut spread (optional).

  • For the finish: Bitter cocoa powder to taste

The Procedure

1. Express Mantecazione

The secret of the TOOA Milano Pro is speed. Let's start by preparing the two bases:

  1. Place the vanilla ice cream (previously stored at room temperature or according to the instructions) into the machine. Start the cycle and, once ready, transfer the ice cream to a small bowl and place it in the freezer for 10-15 minutes to firm up slightly.

  2. Repeat the process with the chocolate brick. This too will need a very brief stint in the freezer to become perfectly moldable.

2. Architecture of the Truffle

To get the classic dome shape without making a mess everywhere, we will use the film trick :

  • Place a square of cling film on the palm of your hand.

  • Create a chocolate ice cream disc (this will be our outer shell).

3. Modeling and Rest

Close the edges of the plastic wrap, sealing the ice cream inside, and twist the base to create a perfect sphere. Place the truffles in the freezer for at least 30 minutes . This step is essential for the two flavors to "blend" structurally while remaining distinct when cut.

A few minutes before serving , remove the truffles from the freezer:

  1. Carefully remove the film.

  2. Roll the sphere in a small dish filled with bitter cocoa . The contrast between the bitterness of the cocoa and the sweetness of the vanilla inside is what makes this dessert legendary.

  3. Serve on a dark plate to highlight the cocoa powder and decorate with a dollop of cream or a mint leaf.
