With real Italian Tooa gelato you can prepare not only cold desserts… but also delicious hot cocktails!

The magic of Tooa ice cream lies in its artisanal quality and versatility: it is not only the perfect ingredient for cups and ice creams to be enjoyed cold, but it also lends itself to surprising hot, enveloping and irresistible combinations.

Today we're offering you three ideas for hot ice cream cocktails that we absolutely love: easy to make, super delicious, and perfect for impressing guests or treating yourself to a special evening.

1. Hot Zabaglione with Pistachio Ice Cream

A great Italian classic meets the intense flavor of Tooa pistachio ice cream: elegant, creamy, and perfect as a warm dessert after a meal.

Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons of sugar

  • 2 egg yolks

  • 40 ml of Marsala

  • 1 scoop of Tooa Pistachio ice cream

  • Pistachio grains for decoration

Preparation

  1. In a heatproof bowl, whisk together egg yolks and sugar until light and fluffy.

  2. Add the Marsala and transfer the bowl to a saucepan over a bain-marie.

  3. Whisk until the zabaglione becomes creamy and velvety.

  4. Pour the hot zabaglione into a cup or mug.

  5. Add a scoop of Tooa Pistachio ice cream and some sprinkles for a crunchy touch.

  • 200 ml hot spiced apple cider (with cinnamon, cloves, orange zest)

  • 1 scoop of Tooa Vanilla ice cream

  • A pinch of nutmeg or cinnamon for decoration

Preparation

  1. Heat the apple cider in a saucepan, letting it flavor with spices and orange zest.

  2. Pour the hot cider into a heatproof glass.

  3. Add the scoop of Tooa Vanilla ice cream.

  4. Finish with a sprinkling of cinnamon or nutmeg.

The result: a warm, aromatic, and enveloping drink, with a hot-cold contrast that wins you over from the first spoonful.

3. Irish Affogato

The ultimate comfort drink: hot coffee, a touch of Irish whiskey, and Tooa vanilla ice cream for added creaminess and sweetness.

Ingredients

  • 1 large cup of hot espresso coffee

  • 30 ml of Irish whiskey

  • 1 scoop of Tooa Vanilla ice cream

  • Optional: a dollop of whipped cream

Preparation

  1. Prepare an intense, hot espresso.

  2. Pour it into a mug or thermos glass.

  3. Add the Irish whiskey and stir lightly.

  4. Place a scoop of Tooa Vanilla ice cream in the center.
